Bike Club/ Ride Across California Receives association innovation award!

At the YMCA of San Diego County Annual Dinner in September, Jesse Pazdernik was honored with the Innovation Award for programming for Bike Club and Ride Across California! The Rancho Family YMCA Bike Club and 5th grade Ride Across California is a very unique and innovative program that was originally started by a 5th grade teacher at Deer Canyon Elementary school. Needing help to grow, the program was established at the Rancho Family YMCA in 2003 and has been one of the most innovative programs offered fitting our mission perfectly for the last 8 years. Congratulations Jesse and all the volunteers that help this program be so successful!


Bike Club/RAC

Get Rolling with the Rancho Family YMCA!

Join us for our renowned Bike Club program designed for the beginning cyclist as well as the true bike enthusiast. Curriculum will include weekly activities such as cycling etiquette, specific training techniques, and mechanics as well as cadence rides, hill climbs, and a 5- cities tour through beautiful San Diego County. Bike Club serves as a prerequisite for the Ride Across California.

Please note: Non-registered riders will not be accepted during training rides.

Bike Club Ages: 5th grade students.


Registration is $99 per child or free with a Rancho Family Y membership. Parents are free with the child's registration. All Ride Across California riders must be Bike Club participants.
